Why can’t I verify my business on Google?

At first, I’m a professional freelancer doing jobs for my clients. here I share my experience that I had. maybe my experience will help you to get your business verified. so I would like to help you to get your business verified! a few days ago I created a Google My Business (GMB) profile, and I did submit the verification code that I got on our phone. as same as Google accepted the code, and a few minutes later I visited the Google My Business (GMB) profile. there I saw the message that you see in the screenshot below.

When i fixed the GMB verification

however, when I saw this pop up on my GMB. I am very frustrated to solve this problem even I watch a lot of videos on YouTube, and read Google my business community’s guidelines. but I didn’t get an effective process. A few days later I have been found a policy violation in my GMB profile. and the violation is Google My Business profile Name! Oh my God! a simple thing but had a lot of frustration.

Here are some tips that you should know!

Google my business information:

Make sure you’ve provided accurate and complete information about your business, including the name, address, and contact details. Any inconsistencies or errors can cause verification issues. Double-check the information you’ve entered and ensure it matches the official documentation for your business.

Duplicate GMB profile:

If there are duplicate or conflicting listings for your business on Google, it can create verification problems. Search for your business on Google Maps and Google Search to see if there are multiple listings. If you find duplicates, you’ll need to claim and merge them into a single listing before attempting verification.

GMB profile eligibility requirements:

Google has specific eligibility requirements for business verification. Ensure that your business meets these requirements, such as having a physical location that customers can visit, adhering to Google’s guidelines, and operating in an eligible country.

GMB verification postcard delivery issues:

One common verification method on Google is receiving a postcard with a verification code at your business address. If you haven’t received the postcard after a reasonable amount of time, you can request another one. Alternatively, some businesses may be eligible for phone or email verification instead.

Suspended or flagged gmail account:

If your Google account has been suspended or flagged for violating Google’s policies, it can prevent you from verifying your business. In such cases, you’ll need to address the underlying issue and resolve the account suspension before proceeding with the verification process.

If you’ve reviewed these possible issues and haven’t found a resolution, it may be helpful to reach out to Google’s support team directly. They can provide specific guidance and assist you with the verification process for your business.
